My late discovered passion

I have loved flowers since as young as I can remember, but it wasn’t until my 40s that I discovered my passion for flower arranging. It’s just a hobby, but one I do regularly. Every time I go to the grocery store for the weekly trip, I indulge myself. The act of creating a beautiful display of colors, shapes and fragrances gives me satisfaction. So does their beauty that adds to my life during every season.

Thank you, Allan. I just love work with flowers, inside and outside. The pink roses in my spring arrangement are from my rose arbor.

It must be a beautiful arbor when all of the roses are in bloom. My wife loves roses and ours are planted behind a retaining wall across the bottom of the hill in our backyard.

Yes, it is getting more and more beautiful every year. I’m so glad you and your wife have roses in your yard, too.

Thanks, Nel! Maybe I’ll go out and buy myself some more flowers today. I also need to spruce up my flowers outside in the flower boxes.

Do you have a favorite flower?

Well, I think spring forsythia is my favorite. I even recently begged my hubby to buy me a painting that has forsythia in it. How about you? Do you have a favorite flower?

I’ll have to look that up. I have no idea what that looks like. My favorite is Gerbera daisy. Doesn’t matter what color it is. I love them all! 🙂

Daisies are wonderful. The Gerbera’s come in so many colors, too, don’t they?

Oh! It’s so bright and sunshiney yellow! I bet they smell amazing too!

It’s funny. Some flowers smell wonderful, and others have no scent at all. Even roses. My roses have little to no fragrance.

Yes, I feel that way about lilies. They just don’t smell like anything.

Indeed. That reminds me that I need to do a little weeding around mine. Have a wonderful day!

They are neat and cheerful arrangements. One thing I find about passion is that we can discover something about ourselves at any time age regardless.

Hi jacqueline. Thank you for the compliment on my flower arrangements. I’m sorry this is a very late response to your comment. I only today found it in my spam. I appreciate your comments. I’ll be better at checking my spam folder in the future.

It’s totally okay. It happens with the comments and what I’ve learnt is not to fuss over it, besides, people get inundated with the amount of mails that they receive.

Thank you, stoner on a rollercoaster. This post inspired me to go out an buy some flowers. I’m not entirely happy with my recent arrangement. I might go and buy some different flowers to improve it.
