Is that bird glad to be inside on this snowy day!?!?

That’s the question. Who knows what is going on inside that avian head. Luckily both he and the outside birds at that feeder have food, though the birds at the feeder need to dig through the snow a bit to get to it.

Today is obviously an extremely snowy day for much of the East Coast of the USA. My husband and I took a walk outside a bit ago and turned back after only 10 minutes. We were glad to be back home with our green guy.

It’s quiet in the house, and there was hardly a noise outside, except twice when we jumped from the loud clap of thunder. Have you ever experienced thundersnow?

That’s today’s big story.

Maybe, but then again it could be scary. Just kidding!

Smart bird!! And so beautiful too!! You know, that whole “thundersnow” thing is the oddest thing ever. It’s almost like Mother Nature couldn’t make up her mind! I heard it too, the thunder and all that, and when the flashing lightening started in the middle of the snowstorm, I had a TOTAL WTF?? moment!! Good thing you came inside after your walk quick though, it was no joke outside for sure!

I did read that the thunder snow was widespread during this storm. My husband said his country in Europe gets tons of snow, but he never remembers thunder snow. In fact, they rarely even get thunderstorms even in the summer.

Interesting isn’t it? My guess is that it was sorta-maybe bordering on a regular thunderstorm because it was mostly rain when it started, therefore had the same properties when it turned to snow. Just a guess though, but either way, it was totally WILD!!

Thundersnow?! I always loved the quite of such a snowing day. I miss it though. I’m sure the bird can handle and they are enjoying such weather while they are nearby such a feeder and warm place
