Not all favorite stories have to be from significant events, like a marriage or a first love. Sometimes there are little past stories you tell again and again that may seem insignificant to some, but are highly memorable to you. Perhaps you start to tell the story for the tenth time and your spouse finishes the story, with a roll of the eyes, but gosh, you love telling that story! They’ll hear it again! Eating delightful foods in life – Major and simple pleasures

We spend most of our days consuming edible foods in life, but how often do we consume those that are truly delightful or nicely satisfying? What is delightful to one is not necessarily delightful to another, but when it is it brings a smile to our face, we feel more than just satiated. Stepping outside the normal realm

Sometimes I just have to do it! Actively seek out pleasure and different experiences from time to time. It doesn’t always have to be a vacation, but of course it has at times. The point is that I have to break away from my figurative jail or the hum drum “day in day out” life, and open my eyes to things normally not in my radar. I guess this type of pursuit of pleasure could also be called a sort of deliberate caper.  The best are when I meet up with new people or find an environment that seems almost foreign to me, and then become part of it, in a way.
